Small Intestine Meridian Acupuncture Points
The following chart outlines traditional Chinese medicine based acupuncture and acupressure points along the Small intestine meridian.
SI1 point, Shao ze (Lesser Marsh)
Location: On the ulnar side of the distal phalanx of the little finger, .1 cun (finger cun) distance from the corner of the nail.
Health Issues Supported: Headache, eye screen, pain and swelling of the throat, shortage of breast milk, heat disease.
Acupuncture and Acupressure Impacts: Resuscitates, promotes lactation, opens orifices, clears Heat.
SI2 point, Qian gu (Front Valley)
Location: When a loose fist is made, the point is on the ulnar aspect of the hand, distal to the 5th metacarpophalangeal joint, at the end of the transverse crease of the metacarpophalangeal joint, at the junction of the red and white skin.
Health Issues Supported: Headache, numbness of the fingers, pain and swelling of the throat, heat disease.
Acupuncture and Acupressure Impacts: Clears Heat, activates the meridian.
SI3 point, Hou xi (Back Ravine)
Location: When a loose fist is made, the point is on the ulnar aspect of the hand, proximal to the 5th metacarpophalangeal joint, at the end of the transverse crease of the metacarpophalangeal joint, at the junction of the red and white skin.
Health Issues Supported: Pain and stiffness of the head and neck, red eyes, deafness, withdrawal, epilepsy.

SI4 point, Wan gu (Wrist Bone)
Location: On the ulnar aspect of the palm, in the depression between the 5th metacarpal bone and hamate bone, at the junction of the red and white skin.

Location: On the ulnar aspect of the wrist, in the depression between the styloid process of the ulna and the triquetral bone.
